What a great evening at the famous Mortal Man Hotel, ( Troutbeck, near Windermere) yesterday. Such an appreciative audience. On my own, I entertained diners from 8.30pm til 10pm with poems and short stories. I have a huge volume of work (coming up to my first million words!), so it's no problem finding the right material. Never had so much praise in my life. So encouraging. If you're ever in the Lake District on a Thursday evening, come to the spoken word evening at the Mortal Man. There's usually a few of us ready to entertain, and you can join in too, with your own poems and stories (and get a free drink for your efforts).

Hi All. I've been writing, yet again. I caught the tail end of a radio programme saying how darkness affects our psyche. This inspired me to write a poem, EARLY HOURS. The Royal wedding in Windsor on May 19, inspired me to write THE CLEANSING OF WINDSOR and, not least, having never fathomed out exactly what literary fiction is, I wrote a poem: AUTHOR'S DISEASE.
On the novel front, PURPLE DAWN, about adult sibling rivalry, is now being published for a second time, having corrected the original version which had a few typos.
I am now writing a fantasy for the very first time. Called, TROUBLED SOULS, it tells the tale of what happens when we die and go to Heaven, not what you might expect!!
I'm a third of the way through but it will be sometime before it is finished.
