Another few days and I will have finished writing my new novel. What I need then is to find individuals who would be willing to read it through and provide feedback. Your reactions to the story and the characters are essential, plus anything else you may notice as you go along.
Just to remind you. The story is about middle-aged sibling rivalry. Main characters are sister and brother, Frida and Simon Somerville. Their fierce rivalry is interrupted by tragedy as outsiders become more involved in their lives. Anyone interested, please let me know. Got to my contact page on this site and give your details. You'll notice there is a new title ( previously, SIBLINGS). Thanks a lot. Julie

The Beast from the East growled. The Beast from the East roared. When the Beast from the East exhaled, the whole land froze. Trains and planes cowered. Roads and rails shivered. When the Beast from the East showed its fangs, all life ran for shelter. Caught in a blizzard of driving snow, traffic crawled, slithered, squirmed and wriggled. Motorways turned into icy prisons with cold white walls and quaking inmates. Fields lay still beneath their freezing cover, suffocated by an ever deepening, flaky blanket. Fearful, all living things waited for the Eastern Beast to skulk back to its billowy lair.

CHANGING THE SUBJECT.......
Ever since I started writing my current novel I have been searching for an appropriate title. As a working title, I chose SIBLINGS as the story is about a sister and brother, but I thought this was a bit too simple. I then explored other possibilitIes, like LOVE & LOATHING, but they all seemed somewhat cheesy. So I am now exploring other avenues. I thought about PURPLE RAIN but this is also a well known song by Prince, so it feels plagiaristic. Every time I think of a good title, I discover it is already a SONG! I will get there eventually, once the novel is completed. So, watch this space for the final title.
