Firstly, if you've purchased one of my books, a big thank you. I don't know who you are but you are welcome to give feedback by going to the 'contact' page on this site.

The first draft of my new novel, MEG'S JOURNEY, is now finished and I am halfway through the first edit. This is the time when most changes are made, when I spot inconsistencies, add new material, remove irrelevancies, and sharpen the writing. I am making good progress, writing poems inbetween, for a break. Wondering about THE MAN NEXT DOOR? Third beta reader has now scrutinised it. Quite a f ew little changes to make before it is ready for release. I Won't offer any book unless it has first been read by three intelligent readers who are instructed to find all the faults. I will finish the first editof MEG'S JOURNEY before I return to THE MAN NEXT DOOR.

Take care wherever you are in the universe.

I love Spring blossom on the trees. I love Spring flowers, one and all.

I love to see green shiny leaves climbing up the grey stone wall.

Spring colours which dispel the blues: pink and yellow, lilac, white.

At last they're here, new season's hues. They fill me with divine delight.

The sweet bouquet of woodland flowers - think of bluebells as they nod -

They spread their fragrance through the hours. Their scent must be a gift from God.

Like dainty gems on every twig, bright buds bewitch me as I stroll.

When blossom hangs from every sprig, a blessing chants within my soul.

More poems in my poetry books (see book page)

Hi. Thanks for visiting my modest blog. It's been a good week with readings at the Mortal Man Hotel, in Troutbeck Bridge and also at The Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal. I read out a chapter of my new book, Meg's Journey. It's surprising how reading allowed shows up any dialogue problems. I produced a cover for the book last week and you can see it on my homepage, scroll right down, and on my book page. It always motivates me when I see a cover. Now completed 30,000 words (about 145 pages). Getting addicted to the way the story evolves in my mind . . . and then on the paper; getting totally involved in the action. Best wishes for now.
