You know what I'm like for changing covers. Well, I now have a new title and cover for my current novel. I chose this title (instead of THE DARKNESS AND THE LIGHT)
because it has become obvious to me that 'smoke' is a central theme in the book, so the title makes absolute sense and ties in with the short synopsis on the back. I'm making good headway but there's still a long way to go. Hang on in there folks!
Hi. Hope you are all well. This lockdown gives us unexpected time to take up a new creative hobby. Anyone started writing, drawing, painting, knitting?
I'm making progress on my new novel. Almost at 20,000 words (100 pages). Once I reach 20,000 the characters write the book themselves. I just have to type out what they say. Over 200 characters have written more than a million words (22 novels) so far. So important to choose the right characters.
See if I can make 20,000 within the next couple of days.
I started writing a psychological thriller a little while back, but I've been very slow in finishing it. For now, the title is THE DARKNESS AND THE LIGHT, but this may change by the time I reach the last page. The story is about four young children who survive a deadly house fire. With their parents gone, their lives separate, they lose touch and at adulthood remember very little about a past family life. But subconscious memories resurface in mysterious ways with dire consequences on their everyday lives.
