Hi All. Well, haven't I been lazy, not blogging for six months. Since last time, I have now written my next novella with Molly. Remember I asked for a title? It's called HEADS OR TAILS, because Molly has some difficult decisions to make. The cover is shown, but it's not generally available yet because I first want to send it out to literary agents. The same goes for my earlier novel, COMA. Both will soon be available to purchase.

Hasn't a lot happened since October? Coronavirus has taken over our lives. Hope you are all well and bearing up under this lock-down. I have made use of my time writing a short poetry book, SNAPSHOP CORONA. It is simple, light verse which touches on the different aspects of this terrible illness. There are black and white illustrations pertinent to the poems. It's just gone to the printer. As soon as it's published it will go up for sale on www.feedaread.com. All royalties, collected before December, 2020, will be donated to food banks. See cover on this page. Will keep you informed. Stay safe for now.

Hi All. Could you give me some help? I've started a new novel and I can't even think of a working title. So I'm on the lookout for ideas. Below is an outline of the story.

Molly, in her thirties, lives alone in a flat with her pet Welsh corgi, Bella. Divorced just over one year ago, she is in a quandary. She finds unexpectedly there are two men in her life, Harry and Jack. She realises she will have to choose, but how? After chatting with others, she decides to test them both, to sort the chaff from the wheat. Will it work and who will she choose?

If you think you can help, go to my contact page on this site and get in touch. Thanks a million. Julie

Me and my fellow writers at the spoken word night, Verbalise, held at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal last week. This is a regular event which attracts great talent from all around the area. There were a variety of offerings, including poems, anecdotes and, not least, my own half chapter from my novel, PAUL HAS A PROBLEM. It shocked some, with its rather risky content . . .but, hey, someone's got to write it!

That's me, the short one, standing at the front, dressed in grey.
