GETTING READY TO 'PLAY'

Hello all. Anyone thinking of visiting Kendal this summer, make sure it's 23/30 July. Why? Because Kendal community theatre is staging 58 fifteen-minute plays (yes, really, 58!) around streets, yards and venues in the centre of Kendal. lt is a huge, unique project. Yesterday evening I attended a meeting of writers, directors and actors. Each play will be under the control of a professional director. The plays are so varied, too, from historical to modern day humour. It will be the most amazing event with hundreds of local people involved. My play, too, will be performed. Called STORE WARS, it is a satirical look at the competition between shops along the high street.
