Hi All. It's been a good week for spoken word events this last week. Beginning at the Mortal Man Hotel, Troutbeck Bridge, there was a small but appreciative audience for the spoken word evening. A small bunch of authors, like me, read out a variety of offerings. I read out poems and a short story, PASS IT ON, from my short story book, TALL TALES. It's about a man who picks up a book which contains a curse on its readers.....creepy!
At the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal, we had a long evening of offerings. With only four minutes each, it's mainly an evening of poems. I read my new one on the REFERENDUM. Finally, along with other ULVERSON WRITERS, I helped entertain elderly and visually impaired people. I chose poems from my poetry books HOTCHPOTCH and WORD PIE, keeping mainly to the more humorous entries. Thanks to everyone who listened.
