TRADE SECRET

Hi All. Welcome to my very short blog whether you are returning or here for the first time. I'm now about 130 pages into my new novel, ALL THAT GLITTERS, a sequel to NEVER SAY GOODBYE. I have just changed the title to fall in line with the adage, 'all that glitters is not gold.' This is because a central theme of the book is fluorescent tones that glitter under ultraviolet light. Strange topic? Definitely. As you know, I am scrupulous about integrity no matter how strange the story or the topic. How do I ensure this happens? As I'm writing each sentence and devising each scene, I constantly ask myself: why is this happening? how could this possibly happen at this particular time? By asking myself searching questions I discover anything that doesn't make sense of fit in with the character or the story. Sometimes it means changing round chapters, altering the course of the story or adding character traits. It all takes time but is an amazing challenge. Here's the slightly revised cover.
