FUN NIGHT

Lots of talent and a great atmosphere last night at the spoken word event, VERBALISE, at the Warehouse Gallery in Kendasl's Brewery Arts Centre. A packed house. I stuck to simple nature poems from my booklet RHYME AROUND THE LAKES (55 nature poems). As we are only given a few minutes each, poems can be easily tailored to this kind of event. My nature poems alwayse seem a bit tame compared with offerings from other talented writers

but I had a few specifically written for summer, so they were entirely appropriate.

I have completed the first draft of my new novel, TROUBLED SOULS, a fantasy about characters who die but find themselves on the strange Province of Nebula instead of going straight to Heaven. Lots more work to do on this. Hopefully I will get most of it done during the month of August. We'll see.
